I snapped this picture recently on a weekend in Central Park.
The bride and groom were walking around the park with the wedding party, parents, and the photographers capturing moments and posing for pictures.
I'm the type of person that prefers to capture the unexpected rather than the posed image.
I love to capture photos of brides in Central Park.
I captured this moment as they walked past me and were laughing about something and grinning ear to ear.
I was honestly more captivated by the way she held her dress up and the fact that she was wearing her heels. (I would have been wearing converse sneakers or cowboy boots.)
There are a million stories that I could make up about the couple but they are mystery to me as I only saw them for a moment. May they have a lifetime of happiness.
This photo makes me smile as I imagine their joyous life together.
I am linking up with Kat at Kat Eye Studio and her Photo Heart Connection today. Each month she asks us to review the photos that we have taken during the past month and select the photo that speaks to our heart. Please visit her blog and stalk the other participants posts - the photos are amazing and the stories that have been written about them are touching.
I thought the photo very interesting. I liked the composition. Valerie
ReplyDeleteI love the textures in this photo. Her shoes are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHer shoes are gorgeous, this photo makes me smile too.
ReplyDeleteI think the bride and groom would love to have this image in their photo album. It does say so much about where they're headed in their new life...wonderful capture of motion. Fabulous shot and the composition is just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteVery nice.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your comment about shoes the bride is wearing...impressive that she can stand in high heels on her wedding day. Sneakers or boots...that brought a smile to my face! Great photo heart connection!
ReplyDeleteThere is so much possibility on a wedding day. So many stories to be told for the future. Will they be happy or sad? I love how you captured this moment, their shoes and the possibility they hold. Thank you for sharing in the Photo-Heart Connection.
ReplyDeleteLori, this is such a beautiful photograph... like you, i also love the unexpected in a photo. We can almost sense their happiness through their step. It feels light. So bravo to you for capturing such a moment in time. Who knows where they'll be in 20 years, but it doesn't matter. In this moment, they are totally happy. Thanks for sharing, girl! xox
ReplyDeleteHi Lori! I remember I came to visit you the other day on the "in the picture" self-portraits exercise in which I'm also taking part!!
ReplyDeleteI love the shoe and legs shot of the young wedding couple! I like the billowing dress and the way the skirt is held up for easier walking. You can sense their excitement as they move forward to this new adventure in their life! Fun!
I can see why this appeals. I'm totally with you on the no heels, but sneakers approach too. this photo allows the viewer to create their own story, just as the couple will create theirs in a new life together.
ReplyDeleteHi Lori, Love this shot! I would have been wearing sneakers, too! :D :D Visiting from August Break!
ReplyDeleteYes, life is in the details for sure. Enjoyed reading your thoughts, my friend.
ReplyDeletePerfect for photo-heart. There is something about the newness of a wedding day, so many hopes and wishes and dreams for the future, rather like New Year's Day.
ReplyDeleteYou captured a great moment. (Ouch - the heels!)
Nice!
ReplyDeleteI love your unique capture of this bride and groom. They're a mystery just as marriage is a mystery! We don't know when we begin marriage what the future holds! This touched me as my husband and I are celebrating our 40th this summer and I still vividly remember those exciting moments!
ReplyDeleteLove this image, great pov and I love those layers of dress. Loved your words too. Great connection.
ReplyDeleteI like this photo, love that pov at the feet, and like your words, thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteLovely image... side by side down a new path!
